The cat is out of the bag! We are having a baby!! We are so excited and can’t wait to meet him or her. Baby announcements are such a big deal now with social media being so popular. I am so happy with the way mine turned out and I want to share them with the world!

We did our announcement two ways. Snail mail for our family, at 6 weeks, then a picture announcement on Facebook at 14 weeks.

Here are the cards we sent out. On the inside they read:

This little birdie just wanted to let you know that you are going to be (insert family title here) around (insert expected due date).

We added in these pictures just so they would be sure of what the card was saying 😉 Since we found out on the 4th of July I thought it would be fun to include our flag. It was just us and a tripod so it took a few shots but we got a couple good ones!

They were all so thrilled! My mom said she really only saw “grandparents” before she called me!

For our Facebook announcement we wanted to have a little fun! I don’t remember exactly when I came up with the idea. It might have been before we even got pregnant! I really don’t remember. After my 14 week appointment we headed over to our favorite shopping center and had some fun!

I put this one up in the beginning of the day. Wanted some slightly subtle.

Baby announcements are so much fun!

How did you announce your pregnancy? I would love to hear about it or see it! Please share in the comments!

Wishing you all many happy moments, big and small!

Update: I forgot to mention that before we posted the Facebook announcement we sent out a text to so family and friends that were not told in person. The text read: We wanted to let you know that our family will be growing by two feet around (Due Date). Love (Our names). Psalm 127:3

3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.
4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their opponents in court.
Psalm 127:3-5
